Mike Hanscom was looking for a way to exchange drills, so I have started a series of posts in various areas (which should make them more searchable down the line).

If you have a favorite catching drill you'd like to share, please leave a comment. Thanks!

Very simple drill for getting large number of reps throwing to second base. You need two catchers and another player. One catcher is at home and the other at second with the extra player acting as a pitcher between them. To start, the catcher at home acts as the catcher and the catcher at second acts as a SS or 2nd baseman. The player pitches the ball to the catcher who catches and throws to second with the extra catcher coming over to second for the throw. Then reverse it - 2nd base is now considered home and home is now 2nd base. The catcher at 2nd receives the pitch from the player, then throws to home (which is considered 2nd)while the catcher at home comes over for the throw as if she was a SS or 2nd baseman.
